I have been taking Gabapentin for well over a year. I have the best memory ever until I started prescribed this . I have huge anxiety that has caused many respiratory problems. I have never been so depressed I can’t imagine a person being so depressed and tired all the time. Not a day goes by that I do not have some sort of anxiety breakdown. I am worried for any long term affects any labs would turn up about my organs and blood counts. God help us all . Not to mention my eyesight has deteriorated so bad especially driving. Driving at nite is out . I’m very concerned

i have been told i have Glaucoma, no one in my family has ever had it, they say in one eye i have lost 65 percent… was on the med for about 2 years.. called Dr got “sorry about that”

My husband has been getting prescribed gabapentin for neuropathy pain although he has COPD so it really shortened his breathing as well as made him extremely dizzy. He’s fell several times. He’s hurt his ribs. He’s hurt his head and he’s hurt his back. He now suffers from back pain as well. I think he has a herniated disc from falling. The gabapentin helped his neuropathy pain at his distal lands like his hands and his feet, but the damage that it caused due to his falls and his breathing way outweighed the benefits.

In reply to Kathryn DiCono. Gabapentin, has called me to not to remember things. Have a shortness of breath, I must have stayed tight. My mouth stay dry. It is hard to focus on anything. This is just a few other things that gabapentin has done to me.

I was put on a combination of 600 mg gabapentin 2x a day 15 mg Meloxicam 1x per day and 10 mg baclofen 1 x per day for 12 years for pain related to spinal stenosis,osteo arthritis and neuropathy I had to quit taking it because I couldn’t even perform basic daily functions I am still suffering severe memory loss and brain fog as a result I’m not sure if it’s permanent or not

I feel the exact same way, I know what I want to say, but can’t think of the right words. I put things down then instantly forget where, I am absolutely lost all the time and out of focus, and it has affected me at work, home, while driving, walking, eating, sleeping, I am depressed all the time, I cannot stop losing weight, I absolutely fucking hate it, and I get suicidal thoughts, sometimes I really think about doing other people harm. I’m on 2400 mg a day right now, and I keep getting worse, but feel like I need to keep taking it, Gabapentin has REALLY messed me up!!
